Jumping off from the sonic springboard of Afrofuturism, grime and future soul, all fused together with the fearless spontaneity of jazz, and comprised of Ahnansé, members from Sons Of Kemet, Kokoroko, Triforce, Sawa Manga and the Cassie Kinochi’s SEED Ensemble, the Steam Down Orchestra are set to raise the roof at the Goods Shed on Saturday night.
Steam Down is an arts collective, weekly live music night based in Deptford and a burgeoning label platforming artists such as Brother Portrait and Alex Rita. The collective describe their sessions as a co-creative experience between musicians and audience where everyones participation matters. Their immersive experience is completed by the exuberant energy of the steam down family who show up regularly to bring vibes and support.
